Mood Detection
Moods, automatically matched to your music
Sound Credit suggests moods based on your lyrics, genre, and metadata. This helps your tracks get discovered, pitched, and placed.
Let the system do the tagging
Upload your lyrics or fill in basic track metadata, and Sound Credit suggests mood tags automatically. No more overthinking. Just accurate, AI-generated labels to help you classify your work quickly.
Driven by context, not guesswork
Our mood engine pulls from multiple fields—not just lyrics. Genre, tempo, and other metadata help deliver mood tags that make sense musically and emotionally. It’s creative context, automated.
Frequently asked questions
We're here to help with any questions you have about mood detection.
How does Sound Credit detect moods?
We use AI built specifically for musical context, lyrics, and metadata to identify common emotional and stylistic tags for each track.
What kinds of moods can it detect?
Dozens, including common descriptors like “Energetic,” “Melancholy,” “Hopeful,” “Aggressive,” “Romantic,” and many more.
Can I change or remove suggested moods?
Yes. You can edit, remove, or add your own mood tags before exporting or submitting metadata.
Does this affect streaming platforms directly?
Not yet, but mood tags are valuable for sync licensing and A&R searches. You can export them from Sound Credit and use them wherever you'd like, as more downstream systems support tags.
Is my audio being scanned? Is anthing used to train AI?
NO! This feature does not scan audio. And, this does not use any of your data for AI training. Mood detection only generates tags. Nothing is fed back into AI models for training. See Sound Credit's #1 bullet point, the "Commitment to Creators Safeguarding Against Artificial Intelligence Training."
The system can still generate moods based on genre, tempo, and other metadata, but lyrics improve accuracy.
